January 2022 Prayer
January 19 @ 7:30 am - 8:00 pm
In Luke 18, we read that Jesus told his disciples a parable “to show them that they should always pray and not give up.” (Luke 18:1) From this passage and throughout Scripture we read of the importance of prayer, and how God acts on our behalf in response to prayer. To that end, I’d like to invite you to start off the New Year with a focus on God through prayer and fasting! We’ll set aside three Wednesdays in January, the 5, 12 and 19, to humble ourselves before God and to seek him together in prayer. We’re encouraging participants to fast from food for breakfast and lunch, and to join us for times of online prayer at 7:30am or 8:00pm. Our online prayer times will last 30 minutes each, and will include a guided time of worship through praying Scripture, and in intercessory prayer, with a specific focus on God’s kingdom work in 2022. Each Wednesday morning, we’ll send out a devotional, prayer requests, and prayer focus for the day.
When: Wednesday, January 5, 12 & 19
