Christmas at Redeemer
Experiencing God's Promises
Christmas is a season filled with high expectations—excitement, renewal, joy, and peace. Yet, many of us find that the holiday often leaves us feeling exhausted. The endless to-do lists, shopping, tension with family and friends, and feelings of disappointment and ingratitude can rob us of the very promises Jesus offers during this season.
This Advent, we invite you to journey with us as we center our hearts on God’s promises found in the Gospel. We are reminded that Jesus gives not as the world gives. He brings hope in the midst of frustration, peace that calms our anxiety, joy that never fades, and love that satisfies our deepest longings.
Advent Sermon Series
Sunday services – 8:15am | 9:45am | 11:15am
In this series, we will explore the four traditional Advent themes—hope, peace, joy, and love—which represent promises from God, fulfilled in Christ. These are not fleeting emotions or worldly experiences, but deep, lasting realities we are called to rest in and experience. We will also contrast these promises with the frustrations, anxieties, exhaustion, and unmet longings that arise when we look for fulfillment in the things of this world.
Christmas Eve Services
Tuesday, December 24 – 2pm | 3:30pm | 5pm
Join us for one of our special Christmas Eve worship services as we celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. In this family-friendly service we will sing joyfully, hear a short message on the gift of salvation that Jesus gives us, and end with candlelit carol singing. We encourage you, your family, your neighbors, and your friends to join us!
Childcare available for children age 4 and under at the 2pm and 3:30pm services.
Comfort & Joy
We are teaming up with Hope for San Diego to pour out God’s love towards families this holiday season! Whether they’ve experienced a medical emergency, a housing crisis, or a lost job during the year, many of our neighbors can’t afford a Christmas celebration for their households this year. We have the opportunity to fill in the gaps for them!
Shop (buy and wrap gifts), sponsor (donate to cover an entire family’s Christmas celebration), or serve (serve meals, deliver gifts, and more)!
