As we enter a New Year, it’s a great time to reflect on the practices in our lives that help us grow closer to God and to live in intimate fellowship with him. At the top of the list is consistently reading the Word of God. Through his Word, God reveals himself to us, teaches us what is true, and renews our minds so that we can live a life of wisdom. The Apostle Paul wrote, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…” (Romans 12:12a)
